A Cardiff based Environmental and Engineering consultancy are looking to recruit a Principle Planner
Our client is looking to develop a Planning and Environmental Appraisal Team in their new Cardiff office and recruit a town planner at Principal consultant level to help build and lead the planning team. You will have a strong technical background in planning ideally from having held both public and private positions in Wales. A good working knowledge of the Welsh planning system and legislation is an essential requirement particularly in relation to the LDP process. Experience of undertaking planning related studies is also highly desirable e.g. urban capacity and employment land studies as well as a good knowledge of EIA regulations and sustainability appraisals. We will be looking for evidence of your personal input when working with clients and colleagues to develop successful, client focused solutions. We will also be looking for you to demonstrate your ability to manage a planning team and to win work with public and private sector clients. Special Comments.
First Degree
BSc (Hons) Relevant technical degree
Project Management; Project Delivery; Resource Co-ordination
Experience in local authority and planning consultancy environments and excellent knowledge of the Welsh planning system is required with a particular requirement of knowledge and experience of the LDP process. You will have held a Senior Planning role. Ability to communicate well with technical staff and also non-specialists will be essential.

Valid UK Driving Licence Required
