Duties/Responsibilities: To undertake the following in relation to Waste/Energy/Minerals: · Prepare Planning Applications · Provide Planning and Policy Advice · Co-ordinate associated Environmental Impact Assessments · Undertake Site Searches/Appraisals To deputise for Director along with other Principals to undertake daily management of resources and work scheduling in team and · network with Directors and other teams to ensure optimum use of resources across business. · undertake technical review in accordance with QA/QC system and manage projects. · mentor and develop Seniors and Consultants within the team to support in day to day running of team. Qualifications and Essential Skills: 1st Degree in Planning or Environmental Discipline. At least 5 years experience (ideally split between Public/Private Sector). Experience of preparing planning applications for major waste, energy or minerals development and associated EIA's. RTPI membership (or eligibility) desirable but not essential. Experience of Enquiries or Appeals desirable. Skills: Strong Project Management and Co-Ordination Skills. Strong Communication Skills. A clear technical specialist in skill area. Strong delegation skills and can deal with issues within team as they arise before they become a problem. Ability to manage projects outside of discipline area and manage multi disciplinary projects.
