Senior Design Engineer – Solid Works, Stress Analysis/Calculations – Swansea, £35-40k
My client is looking for a senior design engineer with experience performing stress analysis and calculations within a mechanical environment. The senior design engineer will have good general knowledge of a variety of materials and be confident using the Solid Works package. They will be responsible for working to customer specifications, performing calculations on the mechanical components and modifying the product if necessary.
The organisation work on a varied product range to customer demands so the senior design engineer must be flexible in the way they work and able to apply their knowledge to different products including pressure vessels, lifting equipment and pipe work.
The successful senior design engineer will have good experience using Solid Works and be proficient at performing stress calculations, including sheer and direct stress, with a variety of materials. They will be a good team player with excellent 3D CAD understanding.
