Our client is an engineering and construction management contractor, dedicated to providing value added services on a wide range of solutions to the water, wastewater and industrial markets. They are market leaders in providing full project solutions and services from technical engineering design and development through to project execution, construction, site installation and commissioning. Due to the success of new contract and projects awarded from major water suppliers they presently require various engineering support. They currently require a Mechanical Engineer to work within the project team based in the South Wales office.
Responsibilities : ·Develop designs (using CAD resources) P&ID’s, GA’s, civil guidance and carry out checks. ·Produce equipment specifications, valve and equipment schedules etc. ·Participate in Design reviews ·Carry out technical analysis and make supplier recommendations. ·Review and approve 3rd party designs and supplier submissions. ·Verify pipework and pumping systems design, material and test requirements. ·Attend meetings with client, consultants and potential suppliers. ·Carry out site reviews. ·Assist with programme development. ·Assist with coordinating mechanical engineering activities with others. Experience: · Minimum of 3 years experience in water/waste, sludge treatment industries. ·Good communication skills for interfacing with colleagues, project manager, liaising with customers etc. ·Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel) Qualifications Preferably BSc/BEng, C Eng MIMech E. HNC/HND with considerable experience will be considered.
