The principal responsibilities of the post are - The maintenance and service needs of the organisations estate and establish a programme of planned testing, review and maintenance. Prepare quotation and tender documents on behalf of the organisation to provide regular service visits and emergency cover for breakdown maintenance, planned preventative maintenance and compliance with statutory obligations for maintenance and service needs including premises, plant, equipment, environment and disposal of waste. Provide Control Managers and Locality Managers with arrangements for utilising contracts and monitoring compliance with service level agreements and quality. Check and authorise maintenance and service invoices for payment. Ensure that expenditure is kept within budget. To establish and maintain appropriate records and database of all property and premises, including the Land and Property Portfolio of Deeds, Leases and records. To maintain accurate plans of all premises. To maintain information on operating and maintenance costs to enable “cost per square metre” premises to be calculated for inclusion in Business Cases etc.
