Senior Marine Biologist / Consultant

An environmental consultancy, which specializes in all disciplines of ecology nature conservation and biodiversity, they undertake surveys and assessments and provide advice on soil, land use, hydrological and sustainable drainage issues. Applications are now invited for a Senior Offshore Marine Biologist, to take the divison of offshore Marine Biology further.
The position requires the development and delivery of an inspirational vision encompassing all forms of Renewable Energy, as well as an ability to influence long-term policy and strategic initiatives within the field.

The Role:

This is an opportunity for you to take total autonomy over your career, the opportunity for you bring on board your own team.
The post requires a skilled negotiator and effective leader; you will maintain the highest possible standards.
You will have a good technical grasp of a range of technological solutions, potential interfaces and the subsequent application of systems to issues of sustainability and energy security at national level.
Ideally you will have a good research track record, experience of applied research and technology transfer and excellent communication skills

You might work in acedemia at the moment and will be looking for more of a challanging role


Requirements:

· Must be educated to degree level Offshore/Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related subject.
· Marine Sedimentology,
· Coastal Modeling
· Fisheries Skills
Must be familiar with the international guidance codes and standards
· Must have the flexibility to apply knowledge and experience and to develop and embrace
· Managing large scale projects
· Support Business Development
· Work towards developing new markets
· Taking a major role in developing your own team of staff
· Excellent knowledge of international best practice in ESHIA
· MSC in EIA, Costal Management, Environmental Consultancy or similar
· BSC in core subject such as geology, marine biology, applied chemistry and oceanography
· Willing to work offshore

Remuneration:

£50,000 - £100,000 DOE
