An opportunity has arisen for a Principal / Associate Transport Planner to join my client's established, luxury Cardiff office.

My client are an international consultancy with specialist teams and divisions in a wide range of disciplines from Geology and Geotechnical to Structural Engineering, and Mechanical Maintenance to Water and Hydrology.

Because of recent success in several tender applications, they require an experienced individual who can come on board and lead the Transportation team in Cardiff.

You will have extensive experience working on both public and private transport development projects from within a leading engineering consultancy.
Becoming responsible for both team and business development, you will be well versed in the prepartion of tender, management of staff and maintaining / building relationships with both clients and local authorities.

The ideal candidate will be of Chartered status, have an excellent working knowledge of software packages such as ARCADY, PICADY and TRANSYT and be able to produce detailed, technical assessments, appraisals and reports.

The role will also see you taking title of project manager of medium sized schemes which will involve:

- Travel Plans
- Transport Assessments
- Expert Witness
- Financial Assessment
- Feasibilty studies

You will inherit a team of 2 Seniors, 2 Graduates and a Technician. However, there is room to grow the team in order to cover the workload.

All salaries / benefits are negotiable and can be tailored to suit individual needs.
