What is the Role?
Our client is a leading national firm, their infrastructure engineering team works on projects of every scale, from ambitious developments to single buildings, and from feasibility studies to detailed design.
As a company they are seeking a Design Engineer to become involved in the development of infrastructure, this includes all aspects of the design particularly highways and drainage. Knowledge of flood engineering would also be an advantage.
As the Design Engineer you shall be expected to provide accurate technical and liasing skills to ensure project requirements and client specifications are met. You will be involved in all aspects of projects from the conceptual design stage through to the completion of projects. You will also be training and supervising more junior staff.

Who are the likely candidates?
You must be able to work to strict deadlines and not be afraid of pressure, Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering is essential, ideally you will be Chartered or working towards this. You should be coherent in all computer packages including AutoCAD, and Microstation.

You will have the ability to work independently as well as leading and working within a team and with other teams. You will have personal time management skills allowing you to perform to the best of your abilities and an enthusiasm for the role.
The successful candidate will be both flexible and mobile and have both oral and written communication skills in order to be a valued and integral member of the expanding team.
