To maintain our clients growth in the environmental planning sector, develop the business and to continue to deliver high quality solutions on a range of interesting projects they are looking for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join the team in Cardiff.
Responsibilities
• Project and financial management/leadership of a range of projects including complex EIA and sustainability commissions; • Drafting and editing of project reports including Environmental Statements and Environmental Reports; • Management and preparation of proposals and bids for new work; • Contributing to business development strategy; • Preparing and delivering client presentations as part of project, bid and business development activities; • Planning and executing business development initiatives, working as part of an integrated team; • Supporting existing clients and projects; • Technical review of reports and proposals; and • Developing and mentoring more junior members of the team.

Requirements A motivated and enthusiastic professional with relevant UK experience in EIA and/or SEA and with strong project management and report writing skills. The successful candidate will aspire to form part of and assist in the management of, a successful and rapidly growing environmental planning business working closely with our national and international colleagues.
Your should be commercially aware individual with excellent business development, client liaison and general communication skills.
Key skills should include:
• experience in one or more of the following: Environmental Impact Assessment; land use/environmental planning; or a technical environmental discipline (ecology, landscape, acoustics etc); • experience of financial management and control; • enthusiasm for, and commitment to, business development; • ability to generate and critically review reports; • using knowledge and experience to take responsibility for projects from initial client contact, through tendering, technical delivery, reporting, follow-up consultation, invoicing, overhead and direct cost control, debt control and cash collection; • ensuring that projects are delivered to deadlines and to the required quality; and • representation at a senior level with respect to client meetings and presentations, delivery of projects, management meetings, etc.
