Wales' leading engineering consultancy for waste management is expanding their senior level team. An immediate vacancy for a Principal level Procurement Consultant for waste.
You will be responsible for developing the procurement strategy across Wales and also some UK and international work, so it is ESSENTIAL that you have worked in this field previously, with strong links into local authority in the area.
Specific responsibilities:
· Contribute to consultant activities across UK and European offices for waste related projects.
· Join Strategic Waste Management Group and assist in identifying key areas for development. Assist in achieving objectives by working in close liaison with other specialists around the UK.
· Assisting with marketing and business development activities.
· Assist in developing waste related work in Wales linked to strategy and infrastructure projects.
· Assist with the Recruitment of staff in Wales to expand regional capability
· Manage overseas projects when opportunities arise.
· Management of junior staff (as size of team increases) and projects.
· Technical training of staff as required.
· Deputising for senior staff, possibly those from other offices, as required.
You will also be assisting in the procurement of waste services for 3rd party providers. Report writing, tender and proposal writing, tendering and contract documentation will be required.
