Graduate Air Quality Specialist is required to assist in delivering environmental consultancy Services to our clients Highways and Transportation Unit and external clients. The position is primarily geared towards various aspects of highways design construction and maintenance although a broader range of air quality and noise issues related to civil engineering and the environment also exist.
You will become involved in a range of work including: The prediction/assessment of the impacts upon air quality of new highway schemes and improvements using proprietary software The prediction/assessment of the impact on air quality resulting from construction sites, industrial sites and highways maintenance operations Providing assistance to the Noise Team regarding the prediction and assessment of noise and vibration impacts Air quality and noise measurement surveys Preparation of Technical Reports and contributions to EIAs and Environmental Statements
You will have an appropriate degree and a working knowledge of UK legislation and procedures relating to air quality and a minimum of 1 years' experience. You will preferably have a working knowledge of the UK procedures for the prediction and assessment of air pollution from road traffic
