My client has a fantastic opportunity for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to work at their consultancy in Birmingham.
The opportunity will involve running projects from inception to completion from day one including developments in the Civils sector. The Quantity Surveyor will be given exposure to all stages of the construction process from pre-contract works to negotiating final account and dealing with project handovers.
The role will include:
• Working as part of a specialist team on major highways, civils, rail and energy projects.
• Aiding clients and other design team members to add measurable value to their activities
• Ensuring the delivery of high quality service reflecting professionalism and dedication
• The firm has a strong team, employing over 200 staff, operating from ten UK offices and overseas as well.

Individuals wishing to apply should have Quantity Surveying experience ideally from a consultancy background but contractors will also be considered. You must be client facing and have good communication skills. You should have a track record of offering Quantity Surveying services to clients on civil engineering, transportation or related infrastructure .
A bonus would be:
• A knowledge of and experience with SMM7
• A knowledge of and experience with NEC Form of Contract
• Build experience
• MOD sector experience
• Post contract experience
• Highways/civils experience
• A professional qualification would also be a bonus
