One of the UK’s leading contractors has an opening for a Document Controller in South London in the construction sector of the company. You will be responsible for general administrative duties including organising meetings, telephone queries, typing, scanning of all drawings, mail and manuals updated daily, ordering stationary and dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence, keeping teams weekly timesheets. BIW experience is necessary.
Duties will include:
·To carry out document control activities as directed by the Lead Document Controller;
·To issue/distribute document for translation/formatting;
·Data entry into the company Document Management System;
·To maintain project control registers and ensuring all documentation has the correct revisions;
·To ensure that correspondence and deliverable documents are tracked and distributed in accordance with established project procedures;
··To monitor document review cycles;
·To photocopy documents and drawings as and when required;
·To scan documents and drawings as and when required;
·Document filing - electronic and hard copy;
·To issue tasks and see them through to completion;
·Upload and download files from websites.
Must have experience working on an EDMS system
