Our client is Azerbaijan’s newest, largest and most prestigious construction company. With an order book of approximately US$500 million of projects to be constructed over the next 3 years, our client currently has a requirement for a Cost Manager / Commercial Manager, to be based in Baku.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Responsible for all cost matters in respect of the budget, preparation of budget cost estimates and cost plans for the Works.
- Development of a cost data base and identification / qualification of potential suppliers.
- Controlling costs in accordance with the approved budgets, cost plans and cash flows.
- Setting budgets for approval.
- Advising on procurement methods available for procurement of Contractors and Suppliers. Assist in the tendering process.
- Participating/ Leading in Value Engineering sessions and providing Life Cycle Costing Information when required.
- Preparing cost option analyses.
- Assessing the cost of changes to the Project Brief and advising of their implications.
- Leading in Risk Assessments to determine contingency allowance.
- Producing financial reports in a format to be agreed with the Senior Management Team as and when required.
Current projects under construction include, but are not limited to:
- 20,000 Sq. Metre shopping centre, due for completion Summer 2008
- 20,000 Sq. Metre residential project, due for completion Winter 2007-07-10
Projects already secured include, but are not limited to:
- US$80million mixed use retail scheme
- Landmark 110,000 Sq. Metre mixed use residential, retail and commercial project consisting of 5 towers in one of the most prestigious locations in central Baku.
