Job Description
My client is seeking to further expand their surveying team with the appointment of an experienced Associate Building Surveyor to manage their current portfolio of clients within their Epsom and London office.
You will be technically competent as a Chartered Building Surveyor and able to manage and foster strong client relationships as well support and develop other members of the team. You will be working as part of multi-disciplinary business which forms part of our southern business in London and Epsom. This role will provide an excellent opportunity for someone build upon our existing business and provide the challenges of growing a team and developing your career. Responsibilities
- A summary of your responsibilities includes:
- Managing a portfolio of fee based Building Surveying activities for our clients
- The management and further development of the existing building surveying team
- Undertake business opportunities within thier existing clients,
- Assist in the preparation of further fee quotations for new clients
- Able to programme departmental workload and predict resource requirements
Requirements
- They are looking for you to fulfil the following characteristics:
- Qualified in Building Surveying (Associate membership of the RICS or other relevant professional body)
- Experienced in the management of projects in surveys and other professional matters
- Experienced in all aspects of building surveying and capable of utilising that experience to direct a team of building surveyors
- Financial management skills and experience in management of professional fees
- Experience of mentoring other surveyors IT literate with previous use of MS Project and NBS software desirable
- Experience of working with other disciplines including M&E engineering, structural engineers, quantity surveyors whilst managing projects
