Salary / Hourly Rate: £25000 - £30000 per annum + package

The level of expertise in the water division is outstanding and includes expertise in dams, water treatment, storage and distribution, sewerage, wastewater treatment, sludge treatment and marine outfalls.
They also carry out flood risk analysis and flood alleviation studies, particularly in the context of new developments in areas of potential floodplain. With projects in the UK and overseas, they are working with major public and private sector clients and have framework agreements with companies such as Wessex Water, South West Water, Thames Water and United Utilities.

Main duties, including specific projects to be worked on:
·Prepare own discipline outline and detail designs, design calculations, drawings and schedules as identified in the Project Management Plan (PMP) on assigned projects.
·Advise/assist other disciplines in the preparation of designs.
·Prepare/assist with the preparation of scheme evaluations, design statements, tender documents and any other reports identified in the PMP on assigned projects.
·Carry out other duties as identified in the PMP on assigned projects.
·Utilise computer aided design systems, computer design software and other design aids, as required.
·Check/approve own discipline work, including third party design proposals in accordance with the PMP on assigned projects.
·Carry out site supervision and site surveys as required.
·Maintain a good understanding of all relevant standards, Codes of Practice, Health & Safety Legislation and current relevant design methods.
·Comply with Quality System Procedures.
Responsibilities:
·Responsible for own technical work and quality Carrying out own discipline outline and detail designs and other work as required on assigned projects.
·Client liaison as required on assigned projects and for business development.
·Coach team members in own discipline and act as mentor for competent and safe design procedures.
·Undertake the role of Project Manager/Lead Design Engineer on projects as required
Applicants are required to have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent as well as nearing Chartered status preferable or qualifying experience met DSEAR or Hazardous Area Classification training and

Applicants are also required to be proficient users of Microsoft Office software packages essential
