Principal Structural Engineer, Bristol
Our client specialises in the provision of planning, design and management services for infrastructure and structural development worldwide. With interests in transportation, water, maritime and property, the company is undertaking commissions in over 70 countries from a network of more than 70 offices.
The structural engineering sector in Bristol are currently looking for a Structural Engineer. Joining this team, you will be involved in their current projects including;
- Corsham defence project, designing a whole community for the services including, office buildings, living quarters and sports halls.
- Bournemouth Shopping Centre Car Park, in which they are demolishing and redesigning the 2-storey car park.
- Witchurch offices
- Cornwall - 4-storey buildings Working for this consultancy you will have the chance to take a lead role in the development of the Building Structures business. You will be designing various structural elements at initial design stage for different projects, including residential, commercial and industrial. You will also be managing other engineers and technicians that are within the team and will take charge of the day to day running of various projects, reporting back to the Directors at weekly progress meetings. You will be working both individually on smaller projects and as part of a team on the larger projects that they are undertaking.
Applicants should be degree qualified and have experience in structural design. Managerial experience is not a requirement but will be an asset to the role. You should have experience working in a variety of different materials, including steel, concrete and timber.
