Sales/Product Manager - Rolling mill experience - International Metals Industry - based Christchurch, Dorset - salary £30 - 40K plus car allowance
We are looking for a Sales/Product Manager with rolling mill experience to work for a company that is one of the world's leading engineering and plant building companies for the international metals industry.
The Sales/Product Manager will need to have good presentation skills and be highly motivated with the ability to work under pressure, make key decisions and work unsupervised
Preferably with a HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline (or equivalent) the Sales/Product Manager (Metals Industry) should have technical experience in the instrumentation or rolling industry preferably in Long Products and be familiar with the use of database systems
Working in the Special Products - Sales Business Unit the Sales Product Manager will work as part of a team and will be expected to carry out the proposal and other functions necessary to prepare and submit offers to clients for gauges and equipment used in Long Product rolling mills.
Day to day tasks will include -
* Preparing technical solutions in response to customer's enquiries
* Preparing technical specifications
* Preparing costing and pricing information
* Liaising with engineering and purchasing to support of bid preparation
* Supporting the Territory Sales Managers in all technical aspects
* Overseeing quotations
* Looking after pre-project documentation
* Preparing appropriate standard presentations
* Participating in presentations and technical and commercial negotiations with the client.
* Contributing to marketing activities e.g. brochures
* Ongoing product development / design coordination
All candidates for the position of Sales/Product Manager (Rolling Mills/Metals Industry) must have a current Driving Licence and passport and be able to travel both nationally and internationally, possibly at short notice
