SAFETY ENGINEERS / SOFTWARE SAFETY ENGINEERS

* In this engaging role you will co-ordinate evaluation of risk-related evidence supporting production, by multi-disciplinary teams, of Military Aircraft Release recommendations mainly for new & modified military aircraft
* This varied position also includes producing safety cases, independent reviews of 3-party system or software safety cases & evaluation of software safety for Military Aircraft Release
* Applications are welcomed from safety engineers/software safety engineers with talents as follows:
- Exp in avionics, aircraft software development, safety evaluation or systems engineering
- Safety assessment techniques e.g HAZOP, FMECA, FTA
- Knowledge of system/software lifecycles & software criticality issues
- Working to standards such as JAR-25, Defence Standard 00-56, Mil Std 882 or ARP4761 etc
- Software evaluators must have exp of language selection, static analysis, formal methods, software robustness & standards such as RTCA DO 17A & B, Defence Standard 00-55 etc
- Exp of safety case production/evaluation
- Exp of Land, Sea or Rail systems
- Exp/knowledge of military aircraft an advantage |
