Our client is ideally seeking an experienced Road Safety Technician/Accident Investigator to help support and promote better safety awareness within the road network.
Main job components:
Reporting to the Road Safety Design Team Leader, you will provide support in monitoring and reporting on the performance of the road network in terms of safety, highlighting areas where it can be improved as well as preparing safety studies to identify potential solutions.
You will also support in the undertaking of Road Safety Audits and Fatal Accident Investigations.
You will have strong communication skills with good presentation skill.
You will also have good team-building skills with the ability to effectively delegate.
You will have appropriate experience in Road Safety Engineering and experience of accident investigation. You will have conducted road safety audits in the last 24 months as Audit Team Member or Observer and have recent experience of leading design teams.
You will hold relevant vocational qualifications with membership (or be working towards membership) of an appropriate professional institution.
Developing knowledge of design codes relevant to Highway Engineering is also desirable.
You will have some experience of contracting in construction and/or some experience of civil/road engineering.
