As part of our clients continued expansion in the Renewable Energy industry they are looking to recruit a Project Manager to work on offshore wind farm and tidal projects.
You will be working with other Project Managers from various disciplines and will be seen as a technical specialist in your field. The principal function of the role is to be responsible for:
* Managing specific areas of the development and construction process
* Liaison with technical, environmental, procurement and legal departments; who are all involved with the project lifecycle
* Dealing with technical issues and conflicts
* Decision making on project
* Managing tender process; negotiating and securing successful bids
* Working closely with suppliers and manufacturers
* Reporting to Technical Director and Head of Offshore Projects
* Managing construction phase through to completion
The company is one of the UK's leading renewable energy companies, dedicated to generating electricity using sustainable, environmentally-friendly resources. They have a wide ranging portfolio that includes both onshore and offshore wind farms, hydro plant and co-firing biomass operated through their parent company.
The business operates over 450MW of wind and hydro capacity and they constructed the UK's first major offshore wind farm (North Hoyle), they are currently developing a large offshore wind project off the coast of North Wales.
