We are a recruitment agency and we are currently looking for a number of Procurement/Purchasing professionals to work within one of our manufacturing clients.
The key skills required are:- CIPS Qualified and experience of working within a manufacturing engineering environment.
Key Role & Responsibilities Achieve Annual Cost Reduction requirements through effective supplier management and cost strategy deployment Accurate & timely Quotation management for on time Budget completion and control Develop, gain approval and execute raw material purchasing strategies including market research and benchmarking Procurement of companywide general consumables Company responsibility for facility/equipment investment with companywide departments (including investment committee approval) Established & participate in Honda Europe synergy activities for general consumables and service contracts Financial assessment of supplier including risk analysis Qualifications Degree, HND, or equivalent, in a Commercial related subject Degree, HND, or equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent manufacturing/engineering Experience Demonstrable experience in OEM /Tier 1 supplier as a Buyer in the Purchasing Cost area Demonstrable experience in High Volume manufacturing Environment as a Buyer in the Purchasing Cost area Demonstrable experience as a Buyer in any industry Cost are preferred Proven experience in a commercial role
