As part of our clients continued expansion in the Renewable Energy industry they are looking to recruit a Project Engineer to work on offshore wind farm and tidal projects.
Offshore wind farm projects are technically challenging in many areas and require significant engineering inputs at all stages: development, procurement, construction and commissioning. The role of the Project Mechanical Engineer is to provide support to the project and construction managers on mechanical issues.
Working in the Offshore Project team your duties will include: - ·Management of contracts in the range of £100m–£800m for the supply/installation of turbines and foundations ·Development of technical specifications, assessment of tenders and of contractor competence ·Tender technical assessments ·Design reviews

They have a wide-ranging portfolio that includes both onshore and offshore wind farms. The business operates over 450MW of wind and hydro capacity. They are rapidly expanding their Offshore Projects team to meet the demands of building their next large offshore wind farm and are seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the pre-construction phases of this wind farm. The planning and construction off the wind farm will provide opportunities for new team members to gain hands-on experience of this exciting, rapidly expanding new technology. Experience of offshore wind farm construction is not essential.
