Our client is the premier manufacturer of components for the jet aircraft, gas turbine and other advanced-technology industries. They are currently looking for a Product Engineer to join their friendly engineering team in Devon. The main purpose of the role is to develop, implement and maintain all product engineering activities.
Skills Required:
Min HNC in Mechanical/Materials/Design/Mettalurgical Engineering
Preferable Degree in one of the following fields: Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
Metallurgical and Materials Engineering
Min 3 years relevant engineering work experience (manufacturing, wax molding, casting automotive, aerospace, dimensions, turbine, blades)
Experienced with Engineering Drawings
Layout Knowledge and alignment principals.
Knowledge of problem solving tools
Good statistical understanding
Knowledge of Tool-making processes.
Knowledge of automation systems.
Good communication/interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Ability to prepare and write reports
Computer Literate
British/EU/American passport
The role involves:
Product engineering activities on multiple Aero/IGT blades and vanes
Organizing manufacture of tooling
Plan and formulate engineering programs
Review product design for compliance with customer requirements
Engineering design and test problems
Produce, review and approve internal qualification reports.
Troubleshoot manufacturing problems.
Complete root cause analysis and implement root cause fixes.
Cost reduction and method improvement projects.
Identify significant and insignificant product changes and develop a structure for their implementation where necessary.
The role is adevrtised nationally as our client will provide relocation package for the suitable candidate.
