Our client's Bristol office is seeking to recruit a Senior Transport Engineer to deliver project work in traffic engineering and transport planning.
A varied workload will be offered and your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Assistance in a broad range of projects such as town centre studies, traffic management, accident studies, parking studies, transport assessments, junction design studies etc.
• Supervision of graduate and technician staff as required.
• Client liaison on technical matters.
• Report writing.
• Compliance with agreed administrative and QA standards and procedures.
You will have an appropriate professional qualification e.g. a degree in a relevant subject and preferably have a postgraduate and / or a professional qualification, although this is not essential.
You will also have solid experience, ideally broadly based in projects for public and private sector clients, which should include traffic engineering design, traffic management, Transport Assessments etc.
Experience in the use of all or most of the standard traffic engineering software such as TRANSYT, LINSIG, PICADY, ARCADY, PARAMICS and VISSIM is also a necessity.
You will have a high standard of written English and verbal presentation skills and will be keen to pursue a rewarding career with a leading consultancy.
Our client will offer a competitive salary, probably in the range of £30 - 35,000 p.a., together with a comprehensive benefits package.
