Due to continued expansion by a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy, an urgent requirement has arisen for an enthusiastic Transport Planner at Senior level.
You will have the opportunity to get involved with small scale (Transport Assessment) projects with budgets up to c.£25K and support the team on large land development projects. This work will include Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Concept Highway Design and Movement Strategies.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Acting as Internal Brief Manager (IBM) for projects, with financial control of Transportation IBM Briefs (training to be provided as required), deputising for senior management when need arises • Responsible for technical output of small project team(s) • Manage and / or carry out technical works in accordance with the Practice’s QMS, EMS and H&S procedures • Day-to-day management, supervision and training of less experienced members in project team(s) • To attend meetings with clients, design teams, local authorities and the general public as required
You will have a relevant Degree or equivalent in Geography or Transport Planning and be a member of a relevant professional institution. You will also have experience of project management, managing project budgets and quality management at a project level and experience of MS Office products and report writing.
You will be a good communicator (written and verbal) and will have the confidence to attend meetings and advise clients and design teams.
Our client will offer a competitive salary, probably in the range of £29 - 35,000 p.a., together with a comprehensive benefits package.
