Route Engineer required by a large joint venture organisation based at their North Bristol office.

The person they are looking for will be expected to carry out the following;
• Provide information to respond to queries from stakeholders via the Customer Care Team. • Collate information and technical data and produce and deliver works packages from the current maintenance budget for handover to the Operations team for construction, or for the inclusion in the future small works programme. • Maintain a diary to record all issues relevant to the maintenance of the allocated route(s) • Investigate all reports of defects (including RMMS and cyclic maintenance reports) with a view to developing remedial packages in liaison with the Senior Route Engineer. • Liaise with the Agents/Maintenance Manager to consider buildability in the development of all works packages. • To carry out the role of Designer under the CDM regulations for the works order packages prepared. • Carry out the Watchman route monitoring role in conjunction with the Senior Route Engineer to identify future improvement and maintenance schemes. • Carry out field inspections and quality inspections. • Progress requests for survey /renewal works from other teams into packages for delivery by the Operations team in conjunction with the Senior Route Engineer. • As required by the Senior Route Engineer, attend site as necessary to ensure that technical issues can be dealt with without causing delay to the works programme. Ideally you will have an HNC or HND in Civil Engineering, strong working and theoretical knowledge of CDM regs and Health and Safety legislation and supervisory experience specifically within Highways.
