This company provide the entire spectrum of highway construction and maintenance solutions for contractors and public-sector clients, from the design and construction of new carriageways to routine re-surfacing. For major contractors, they are able to provide a comprehensive service to install flexible or rigid pavement construction, from capping upwards, using state-of-the-art, and fully automated paving equipment. Supported by a national network of in excess of 120 quarries, 50 asphalt plants, 330 concrete plants and a site-batching capability. The company are able to provide a complete renewal service for worn-out carriageways and associated infrastructure, including;
- Traffic management - Road restraint systems (steel and concrete) - Drainage repair, replacement and refurbishment - Installation and renewal of communications systems - Installation of sign gantries - Street lighting installation and refurbishment - Refurbishment and strengthening of highway structures - Carriageway widening - Full reconstruction of flexible and rigid pavements - Crack and seat technology - Re-surfacing and road markings They are now expanding their team in the area and require a project manager. Project Management - Give advice, both technical and commercial to site staff - Liaise with Subcontractors to ensure internal and external customer are maximised - Interpret customer needs and offer appropriate solutions with technical and commercial knowledge. - Build and develop/maintain customer and client relationships. - Ensure the implementation of and compliance with all legislative requirements related to ‘Operational Management'. - Implement all Health & Safety procedures ensuring on site compliance. - Ensure all internal systems and procedures (IMS) are completed - Maximisation of profitability through accurate and accountable targeting - Ensure gainful and profitable use of all resources. - Contribute towards the maximisation of benefit by use of all company products where possible - Ensure the Health & Safety of both yourself and your colleagues by compliance with policies and standards - Be aware that your acts and omissions could put others at risk and never take short cuts that could compromise health and safety - Report unsafe situations including the use of the Company's Near Miss / Hazard Alert report system for this purpose. - Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure that all needs are monitored. - Provide relevant feedback (operational & commercial) to help with subsequent tenders and achieve continuous improvement - Customer Focus – always represent throughout the industry - Assist in the development, recruitment and induction of new staff as required. - Understand the needs and capabilities of individuals and actively promote the development of team members |
