My Client are growing rapidly as they use their engineering and project management expertise to enhance the services offered by their clients. Their Strategic highways division represents a huge portion of their work, and they are now looking for a new Technician to join them on the 419/417 trunk road, operated and maintained by Road Management Services on behalf of the Highways Agency.
About the Role:
Providing technical support to their project teams, you'll set about preparing CAD drawings, supervising routine and cyclic maintenance works and submitting traffic regulation orders. There will also be a good deal of client contact as you carry out detailed safety and general inspections of carriageways, footways, drainage, street furniture and structures - logging defects in their computer records and preparing clear and concise reports.
About You:
You'll ideally have an ONC/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, but they will also consider hiring someone who's willing to gain the relevant qualifications. Either way, you'll need a good knowledge of MS Office and the ability to work to tight deadlines as part of a busy, supportive team. You must also be willing to take part in a rota covering 24-hour emergency and winter maintenance response.
