Our Exeter based client is looking for an experienced highways technician to work with, and report to, the Principal Engineer to prepare design calculations, technical reports and project documents for the Area 1 MAC in Devon and Cornwall and also to assist in identifying future highway improvement schemes.
Key Accountabilities:
• Identify and apply appropriate methodologies and standards to produce effective and innovative solutions.
• Work as part of LNMS team to enable the delivery of effective improvement schemes and robust studies investigations.
• Preparing design calculations and drawing production.
• Assisting with preparing technical documents and reports.
• Prepare project documents and reports.
• Dealing with project related correspondence.
• Maintaining contact with the client organisation and other organisations including attending meetings.
• Maintaining high technical standards, consistent with the project brief.
• Assist with project administration and control, including monitoring of costs and programme.
• Comply with the Integrated Management System, including H&S and Environmental requirements.
• Comply with relevant health and safety legislation, particularly the CDM Regulations
