The company we are recruiting for are lookng for a Highways Engineer. They are based in North Bristol and are a regional part of a multi national company. In addition to the base salary is a very competitive package including pension, car allowance and health cover. On top of this is a very generous holiday allowance.
The role is to take the lead on identifying and delivering cost effective design solutions to maintain and improve the highways assets.
In essense the role involves
Assisting in the management of resources
Agreeing to briefs, programmes and budgets
Preparing design, reports and specifications
Monitoring and approving designs
Dealing with and advising on Health and Safety issues.
Working as part of a team to ensure projects are delievered on time and on budget.
We are keen to see CVs for candidates who are a Chartered Civil Engineer (or equivalent qualification) and have demonstrable experience of working on UK Highways schemes. Good knowledge of Highways Agency procedures and computer design tools is also essential.
