Our client is a market leading Environmental consultancy with a National presence of over 800 employees, their contaminated land division offers services that include a specialist blend of due diligence, quantitative risk assessment and remediation design.
The role will encompass a range of contaminated land services such as: the design, supervision, reporting and management of geo-environmental Phase 1 through to Phase 3 site investigations; the procurement and management of remediation schemes; expert advice on large global projects; and assistance in the production of contaminated land and hydrogeology Environmental Impact Assessments for strategic developments. The role will involve preparing and maintaining a strategy with plans to deliver long term profitable growth in business; maximising the impact of business development time and focussing and co-ordinating the activities associated with developing due diligence business
Reporting to the Commercial Director, this appointment requires a strong track record in managing client relations and business development skills to take responsibility for the overall growth of the Due Diligence business. You will not be burdened with the day-to-day operational responsibility for staff, but will act as the leader/figurehead for Due Diligence services and in the Professional Services sectors, across all service offerings. You will work with Product Group Directors and members of the Sector Development team, guiding, influencing and partnering with them to penetrate potential growth in line with the overall strategy. You will have a proven track record of business development in the UK in the relevant sectors, will have built up effective relationships with relevant clients through account management and will have been accountable for the safe development and delivery of environmental due diligence services to corporate clients. It is essential that you have a clear understanding of the drivers and requirements for due diligence services with, in addition, the ability to improve and reposition the service offering over time. You must have well established relationships with key client players and other intermediaries in relevant sectors and a significant track record of successful business development. You will have been accountable for the development of consultancy business in excess of £1m and be able to demonstrate a track recording in leading business growth ahead of market trend.
