This UK leading environmental consultancy are looking for a dynamic and forward thinking Landscape Architect to assist with a broad range of schemes in both the rural and urban environment. You will provide assistance with the design and development of a wide range of landscape projects. For example: urban renewal/regeneration, masterplanning, and gateway initiatives.
You will be involved with:
· Assisting in the preparation of and provide design input into masterplans, landscape and design strategies, scheme design, urban design and landscape related matters. · Assisting in the preparation of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) for EIA reports and planning applications. · To prepare photomontage outputs for use in LVIA and public consultation and produce 3D visualisation graphics. · The post-holder will work in an office and on site in rural and urban settings.
Key Competencies:
· Ability to initiate and develop landscape and urban design based projects, interface with clients effectively and maintain good client relationships. · Creative Design flare. · Good analytical skills as applied to the assessment of existing areas and to proposed developments. · Experience in operating KeyScape and generating ZVI through the use of ReSoft WindFarm · Experience of project management · Strong graphic representation skills (manual and computer). · Good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. · Computer literacy including the use of AutoCAD, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite 2 and Microsoft Office and preferably graphics applications such as 3D Studio Max. · Ability to plan and organise personal workloads to meet deadlines.
Qualifications: · 1st degree in Landscape Architecture or related subject/Diploma or postgraduate qualification in Landscape Architecture or related subject. · A member of the Landscape Institute · A full current UK driving license.
