They currently have a position for a Senior Land Quality Consultant to join their team in Cardiff. They are seeking energetic and innovative staff who can assist in the design, winning and delivery of their solutions oriented service to their existing and new blue chip clients.
The position is primarily in support of our UK clients but support to international projects is required from time to time. The position offers a strong career growth opportunity for enthusiastic and self-motivated candidates as growth of this business area is a strategic drive for my client.
They operate a matrix management system and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own workload to deliver performance targets set by the business and in particular the Regional Director and Technical Lead of the Land Quality practice in the UK.

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate good experience of design, planning and delivery of contaminated land desk studies, site investigations, risk assessment (qualitative and quantitative) methodologies and remediation projects. A good understanding of current UK environmental regulation is required, with experience of CLEA being advantageous. A range of land quality experience, including gasworks contaminated land, defence, petrochemical, railway and work with utilities and or water companies is expected.
You will join existing teams, and be expected to undertake field work as a Lead Field Engineer, being responsible for all aspects of field data collection, including managing subcontractors, suppliers and junior staff. You will also be responsible for the reporting of the data collected within the client's reporting framework. You will work closely with client programme managers delivering work programmes for a variety of industrial and defence clients. Experience of remedial design or construction oversight will be an advantage. Excellent computer and report writing skills are expected. Specific software skills in HoleBase and CLEA would be beneficial but not essential.
The individual will also need to demonstrate a track record in preparation of high quality oral and written communications. The successful candidate will have strong experience, and are likely to have a Masters Degree or equivalent in a suitable discipline and an excellent understanding of UK contaminated land legislation and processes. A UK driving licence is essential.
