Ideally you are experienced project manager and can clearly demonstrate the following:
Direct responsibility for managing projects Successful negotiation and consultation skills in resolving ecological conflicts Excellent client relationship development and management skills, both written and verbal. Sole responsibility for producing high quality work, both technically and in written format. Can manage multi-disciplinary internal project teams Will have prepared and presented Expert Witness Evidence on ecological matters Can demonstrate that they can represent employer at meetings with clients, legal teams, project teams and external, consultees Can Demonstrate that they use their initiative, are proactive and adopt a solution-orientated approach Can demonstrate that they attract repeat business either directly or by recommendation from clients Need to demonstrate excellent presentational skills Can demonstrate that they can produce tailored and accurate mitigation and compensation strategies. Have successfully prepared and implemented Natural England development licenses. Can demonstrate that they have produced formal ecology EIA chapters in accordance with standard guidance. Can demonstrate working knowledge and application of the planning policy system, including PPS9, and relevant nature conservation legislation. Can demonstrate experience of providing masterplanning inputs to multi-disciplinary projects, particularly in relation to bats. Has experience of implementing, reviewing and interpreting the findings of desk studies. Have strong botanical skills and are capable of undertaking Phase 1 surveys Can demonstrate survey experience of protected and notable species and ideally, would posses protected species licences for at least two species. Can demonstrate use of evaluation methodologies e.g. as per the IEEM Ecological Impact Assessment Guidelines.
