We have very close links to a leading environmental consultancy who are looking for an ecologist with an abundance of field experience. Candidates should have carried out habitat survey's and hold ecology close to their heart. You should hold a first degree and ideally a post-graduate qualification within a relevant discipline. The successful candidate will have broad knowledge of the requirements of EIAs and experience carrying out ecological assessments as part of an Environmental Impact Assessment.
Applicants should have a sound understanding of UK flora and fauna and of particular interest are candidates with knowledge of one or more of the following: bat, birds and invertebrates we get a lot of people who apply with experience with grey crested newts and something a little different would benefit the team. You must be qualified to carry out surveys and have the ability to write high quality reports, principally as a part of environmental impact assessments.
