Job Summary

With over four decades of experience, Atkins has built a reputation of delivering innovative, cost-effective business and engineering solutions to owners, operators, regulators and suppliers to nuclear licensed sites.

Atkins is providing services to a number of major programmes across the clean-up and decommissioning, generation and defence sectors within the nuclear industry.

Atkins is also a major player in preliminary work activities relating to the new build of nuclear power plants in the UK.

Our ongoing involvement in nuclear new build gives us the opportunity to expand our nuclear teams to support this new area of focus and would therefore like to invite applications from degree qualified engineers who possess a sound knowledge and understanding of the nuclear industry.

We are particularly interested in receiving applications from individuals with international light water reactor nuclear experience.

Opportunities exist for Engineers, Scientists, Environmental Specialists and Safety Consultants to join our teams based in Bristol, Cumbria, Epsom, Glasgow and Warrington, including:

  • Nuclear Engineers
  • Civil Engineers
  • Power Plant Engineers
  • Marine Environmental Specialists
  • Safety Specialists
  • Electrical and C and I Specialists
  • Radwaste specialists


Requirements

Suitable candidates will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Degree qualified
  • Previous relevant nuclear experience
  • Previous experience of new build conventions for nuclear projects
Roles will involve travel to other Atkins' office locations and client site offices which may involve overnight stays away from home - therefore, candidates will need to be flexible to travel as required.

Candidates for these roles should also be willing to undergo a security vetting process.
