Our Client is looking for a Graduate Consultant to work in Bath.
Duties of the position will include assistance in the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments (FRA), hydrological and hydraulic modelling and water resources chapters for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA). A background in hydrology, river engineering and flood risk management is ideal but this position is also open to recent graduates (preferably with a relevant Masters). The successful applicant should have excellent written skills, the ability to work as part of a team and independently and a good grasp of hydrological concepts including the water cycle and flood risk. You must have sound mathematical abilities, proficiency in MS Excel and some experience in FEH, HEC-RAS, ISIS, TUFLOW and/or MIKE 11. Skills in GIS (preferably MapInfo) and/or AutoCAD are essential. Candidates must have a full driving licence. The post will be largely office-based in the South-West however, site visits will also be required with potential work in other regions of the UK and abroad. As part of a small but growing team, this post is an excellent opportunity for professional development and all relevant training needs will be met. Candidates must have a BSc in relevant field e.g. Environmental Science, Geography, Physics or Maths and a MSc is desirable but not essential.
