Business Development Manager - Climate Change Across the UK £35,000 - £60,000 DOE

An international independent consultancy firm is looking for a Business Development Manager within the Climate Change sector to help with the overall growth strategy to further develop the clients Climate Change expertise and market share, this is a unique and challenging opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to help grow this key business area.

Role
·Responsibility to integrate climate related services within wider client offerings. To provide and communicate business opportunities within & across the Divisions, building these into Divisional and Advisory Group business plans.
·A strategic review into all sectors undertaken by the company in relation to climate change impacts including appraisal of clients, services, regions and identification of opportunities for profitable growth.
·To develop a business plan for the provision and development of climate change related services, confirming those market areas that build on existing strengths and capabilities with the aim of identifying growth areas.
·To co-ordinate, report and communicate assignments undertaken relating to climate change across and within Advisory Groups.
·share information to the Divisions to stimulate awareness of climate change related opportunities.
· Liaise with Marketing and Communications Support Group to develop awareness and profile raising of the Company within the sector
·To develop own and Company profile in relation to climate change via committee membership, papers etc. You will have excellent communication and presentation skills, you will have a proven ability in influencing at senior levels, can demonstrate a sound commercial awareness with your background showing the following:-
· Chartered Engineer or Scientist or equivalent accreditation to support the complex nature of business development and technical input required for the position.
· Significant experience at a senior level within one or more sectors where climate change is a key driver for future work.
· Proven experience of business development.
· Experience and involvement in the research or development of climate change science, and/or the implementation of adaptation measures to meet the impacts of climate change.
· Experience of working and influencing within a matrix management structure
· Extensive network of clients and key players relating to climate change and its impacts
· Preferably have an established profile within one or more sectors in matters related to climate change.
Remuneration
Package offer includes basic salary of £35,000 - £60,000 DOE Contributory pension, Discretionary company bonus, Health and Dental care, Life Insurance, 25 days holiday and a flexible working policy. Voted one of the Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to work for
