Due to an increase in workload, our client's Somerset office is looking for an Assistant Engineer to undertake a varied role, which will include:
• Technical input and assessments
• Noise and vibration surveying
• Preparation of technical reports
• Measurement data analysis
• Computer noise modelling and other predictive calculations
• Management of small projects
You will also be given the opportunity to get involved with noise and vibration assessments for land development projects, noise and vibration input into Environmental Statements and Recreational Noise.
You will have a degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Physics related subject, will have experience of environmental noise measurement and writing technical reports essential and will have the ability to undertake detailed calculations.
You will be a good communicator with a good level of IT skills.
Our client will offer support to become a Chartered Engineer as well as in-house training in report writing, project management etc.
You will be offered a competitive salary, probably in the range of £22 - 26,000 p.a., together with a comprehensive benefits package.
