You will hold 1st Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or Geology. A 2nd Degree in a relevant field and an appropriate professional membership would also be desirable.
You must have minimum of 6 months experience preferably gained within a similar consultancy environment. Familiarity with site investigation techniques is essential.
You must also have report writing and risk assessment experience. The ability to deliver projects on time is important and candidates should demonstrate good time management and communication skills with previous project management experience being advantageous. Business development skills and market knowledge would also be beneficial. A driving licence is essential.
You will conduct contaminated land investigations and remediation work for a range of projects for small Phase 1 audits through Phase 2 Site Investigations and the supervision of Phase 3 remediation works. Daily tasks will include organising and co-ordinating site investigations, interpretation of results, conducting qualitative risk assessments and report writing. There will also be opportunities to project manage smaller studies and mentor more junior staff. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of contaminated land projects and gain experience of more complex investigations in a variety of related disciplines.
