Technology Manager - Engineering or Science degree/qualification - knowledge of the metals industry - knowledge of relevant technology and products - industrial experience in a related field - based Christchurch in Dorset, Sheffield or Stockton
We are looking for a Technology Manager with a Bachelors Degree or equivalent in an engineering or related science leading to chartered engineer status and industrial experience in a field related to the metals industry to work for one of the world's leading engineering and plant building companies for the international metals industry.
It would be preferred if the Technology Manager had knowledge of the metals industry and experience of working with a wide range of customers. Knowledge of relevant technology and products is also required
Reporting to the CEO the engineering Technology Manager will be responsible for the coordination of technology development within the company
Day to day duties will include:
* Formulating annual and longer-term Product and Process Development Plans
* Helping to devise action plans for launching, promoting and targeting Clients for new Product and Process Development.
* Obtaining budget approval to support Product and Process Development Plans.
* Organising and steering the development of low-cost engineering.
* Identifying new Product and Process development opportunities.
* Conducting post-completion review of Projects
* Coordinating standardisation activities
* Leading the Product and Process Development teams
* Providing technical assistance during Client Sales
* Working with Bid Leaders during Proposals
* Participating in press and promotion activities
All candidates for the position of Technology Manager (Engineering) will need to have a current Driving Licence and passport and be able to travel both nationally and internationally, possibly at short notice
