The post is required to support the signalling design function. Within our portfolio of work is significant scheme development and detail design. This post will supervise and carry out detail design along with the checking of design as required within the design process.Job description Produce signalling design details for railway-signalling schemes in accordance with all company standards, signalling principles and best practice. Mentor junior designers and review designs produced by them when appointed to projects and work packages being produced within the team The Signal Designer is responsible for the accuracy and quality of deliverables produced both individually and within the designated project team.
Candidate specification
Essential academic, professional qualifications and experience: Desired academic, professional qualifications and experience: Good level of education including 5 GCSE’s IRSE Licence 1.1.110C Engineering degree for progression to principles designers Essential competencies / skills: Desired competencies / skills: Good CAD and IT skills. Knowledge of MS computing packages (Word, excel etc) Report writing Microstation CAD designer skills Control systems engineering.
