What is the Role?

You will be joining an organisation that operates across the globe dealing with a variety of rail based infrastructure projects. You would struggle to find another company that offers such a diverse range or large multi-disciplinary projects on a frequent basis.

You will be reporting to the Project Director, you’ll manage the delivery of major projects worth up to several million pounds. Working on them right from conception, you won’t get so caught up in the details that you lose sight of the bigger picture. You’ll follow the marketplace closely so that you can always stay at least one step ahead.

The main purpose of the role is the responsibility to ensure commercial, financial, quality and programme targets are met. In addition to this the preparation of tender proposals, planning, monitoring and ensuring projects are controlled effectively and delivering projects to client’s satisfaction will be a key responsibility.

Who are the likely candidates?

Either a Chartered Engineer or a member of a professional institution, your experience of managing a project team and projects will speak volumes of your credibility and reputation. It's also essential that you can balance your commercial acumen with a range of softer interpersonal skills as well.

What Skills do I need?

Experience and a proven ability to manage internal teams as well as external stakeholders and client teams. In addition to this a demonstrable ability to negotiate commercial, financial and contractual arrangements and experience of change management at project level is required.
