We are looking for a Project Manager (Aluminium) with experience of managing portions of small to large projects to work for an engineering company that is a world leader in the international metals industry.
Ideally candidates for the position of Project Manager (Aluminium) will hold an engineering degree or equivalent and possess a good understanding of commercial and contracting aspects, cost and risk management and value added principles as well as possessing a high level of commitment and initiative and good IT skills.
Good communication skills are also essential as you would be expected to effectively liaise both with the Client and at all levels throughout the organisation.
Some knowledge of site erection and commissioning activities would be an advantage.
Reporting to the General Manager Projects, the Project Manager will have a varied and interesting role as the Aluminium Division provides the opportunity for the right individual to become involved in the management of small to large capital projects.
Day to day duties will include:
* Managing projects
* Utilising systems and Company procedures for project execution.
* Leading the project team and managing the site erection/commissioning teams
* Coordinating major equipment suppliers and subcontractors.
* Undertaking regular project reviews
* Establishing a good working relationship with the Client.
* Providing monthly project status reports
It is essential that all candidates for the position of Project Manager (Aluminium) have a current Driving Licence and passport and are able to travel both nationally and internationally, possibly at short notice
The position involves travel to client sites during project execution and may occasionally involve a period of site management.
