Job Profile
We are seeking experienced railway signalling engineers to lead, direct and undertake signal engineering input into our project portfolio, consisting of both detailed design and engineering consultancy services. Responsible for leading, contributing to and coordinating the delivery of signalling work packages and provide specialist technical support and assistance to rail infrastructure projects, both in the UK and overseas.
The candidate will be accountable for the effective delivery of tasks assigned, in particular:
-Delivery of engineering(design and consultancy) specific tasks;
- Contribution to the engineering input to multi-disciplinary railway engineering (design and consultancy) projects;
- Build and maintain good relationships with clients, and contribute to marketing of company to potential customers. Effective leadership of the formulation of proposals.
-Observation of company quality, health and safety, environmental, commercial and project management disciplines and procedures, as relevant to tasks undertaken.Job description Based in our Bristol office, you will be responsible for the technical and commercial success of your own projects and client relationships. Provision of professional signal engineering input throughout the complete project lifecycle (GRIP 1-8).
Responsiblilities may include, on a project by project basis, the provision of signal engineering input into: Feasibility Studies/Option Analysis/Appraisal; Scheme Development; Detailed Design; Design Checking; Project Management; Technical Advisor; Project Engineering; acting as Responsible Design Engineer. Candidate specification The ideal candidate will have, or will be working towards, IRSE 1.1.160 Signalling Design Verifier (or 1.1.130 Principles Designer), preferably 1.1.145 Desgn Manager Licence, idealy an Electrical Engineering Degree or alternatively, a suitable rail industry recognised qualification, with experience of signalling design, engineering and project management. Ability to plan and produce compliant signalling schemes with minimum supervision. Knowledge of signalling principles, circuits, components and the implications of working with other disciplines. Must be a good team worker and decision maker. Customer focused with commercial and financial awareness.
