The responsibilities of the role include:
Provide a strong lead of the Maintenance Department Maintain close working relationships between maintenance personnel To follow Company Health & Safety Policy Co-ordinate all Maintenance activity Ensure that Maintenance Staff are working in a safe and productive manor Develop the skill base and understanding of all Maintenance personnel Actively support in breakdown situation Monitoring contractors on site To support through Mentoring/Training Providing first class maintenance and development service to all production units within the factory offices and quarry in a ‘hands on’ role. Liase daily with Team Leaders To upkeep and implement control measures for plant and maintenance team daily To maintain good standards of house keeping and cost control To undertake company directed training Provide technical support to ensure production targets are met
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Time served electrician Further Education to ONC 16th Edition PLC Experience (Siemens or similar) Industrial production experience Fault finding diagnostics experience Self motivated highly flexible individual with committed attitude to work Pro Active in TPM Good leadership and motivational skills Good communication skills Experience in Risk Assessments and Method Statements
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
Basic Mechanical Skills Previous supervisory experience PC Literate Knowledge of Team working development cultures Sound Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH
