We are looking for an Estimator (Manufacturing Engineer) to join a leading provider of high integrity handling systems to the defence, aerospace and nuclear industries.
The Estimator (Manufacturing Engineer) will need to have extensive manufacturing knowledge and estimating experience and will preferably be time served with knowledge of machining (turning, milling, boring), fabrication, assembly and testing
The position would ideally suit an Estimator (Manufacturing Engineer) with good experience in medium to heavy, high integrity components
The role will involve the preparation of detailed manufacturing estimates working from engineering drawings.
Candidates should have the ability to compile budgetary manufacturing estimates from scheme/layout drawings and prepare processes detailing methods of manufacture.
The Estimator (Manufacturing Engineer) should also have the ability to prepare material cutting lists and raise requisitions for the purchase of bought out items and materials.
The job role will also include interfacing with the Production shops and suppliers to assist the estimating and manufacturing procedures.
