What is the Role?
International, multi-disciplinary consultancy within the Rail industry require an Associate Director. You will be based from the Swindon office and be responsible for both line management and office management associated with the rail team. You will report to the Regional Director for the Rail Business unit.
The Associate Director will be responsible for the successful achievement of the targets established for the Swindon office within the Rail Business Plan. This shall include the management of project financial performance, budgeting and invoicing. In addition to meeting the objectives of the business plan, the Associate Director will actively support the company values and shall contribute in the collective objectives.
Details of Responsibilities:
· Management of project financing
· “Assist the Regional Director in the development of a robust business plan”
· Business development
· Develop and implement a “strong client relationship management programme for the Swindon Rail group”
Key account management for principal clients
· Leadership & team working
· Empower and encourage staff at all levels
· Responsible for “overall technical control of structures and shall act as technical ambassador for the business”
· Budgeting and invoicing

What Skills do I need?
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate technical expertise in the areas of bridges and structures engineering.
It would be an advantage to have practical experience of civil engineering works, preferably within a consultancy environment including:
· Bridge / structures design and / or assessment
· Bridge and structures inspection
· Drainage and earthworks design and remediation
· Surveying / setting out
· Experience of management programmes of “work on time and within budget”
