Electrical Site Supervisor vacancy working for one of the UK's leading service providers to the utilities industry based in Thornbury, Nr Bristol, South West England (will be site based at various locations so must be flexible and available to travel).
 
Do you want to be involved in one of the UK's largest utilities projects working for a leading, utilities service provider?
 
About you:
You will have experience of supervising the delivery of HV electrical aspects of the construction and refurbishment of substations, associated switchgear and transformers.
 
The role:
To undertake electrical site supervision duties on the delivery of new build and refurbishment of substations throughout South West England and the South West. Reporting into the Site Manager.
 
The Project:
The National Grid is one of the world's largest utilities, focused on delivering energy safely, reliably, responsibly and efficiently. The company owns the high-voltage electricity transmission network in England and Wales, which includes some 4,500 miles of overhead lines and around 340 substations with the majority of assets operating at 400 or 275 kV.

The Electricity Alliance contracts commenced in March 2007 and will run for an initial five year period until 2012 with a potential five year extension. The Alliance involves the whole supply chain and takes into consideration the total life of the assets to ensure efficient and sustainable delivery with a strong emphasis on safety by design.
 
The Company:
Our client is one of the UK's leading service providers within the electricity, gas, telecommunication and water sectors.  Their service offerings are centred on the provision, replacement, repair and maintenance of utility infrastructure, which their clients own and utilise to deliver water, power, energy and communications to their customers. Their client base includes blue chip transmission distribution network operators and private infrastructure owners throughout the UK. They have a successful track record in providing services aligned to their clients business needs through collaborative working relations.
The company has the specialist skills, expertise and knowledge with senior authorised engineers, jointers, linesmen etc enabling them to offer individual or turnkey distribution network engineering and service solutions.
